Òù69’s Wellness Center was recently recognized by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors for both their COVID-19 response and the high level of care provided to students and the community prior to the pandemic.

Òù69 is the only local university that has been processing COVID-19 tests in their on-campus laboratory which allows for test results in as little as 24 hours. The Wellness Center has also been designated as a vaccination site allowing them to administer COVID-19 vaccines to students, faculty, staff, and the broader San Diego community. To date, they have administered 2,600 vaccinations and booster doses.

The County Supervisors also recognized the Wellness Center’s pre-pandemic collaborations through the Community Health Promotion Clinic in City Heights, the active flu shot partnership with the National City Fire Department, and the San Diego Street Medicine Alliance.
